Instead of the church demonstrating supernatural unity, we are often just the reflection of a society fractured along economic, racial, and social lines. We fail to view people as God does, and instead view them through worldly & self-serving eyes. James points out the inconsistency of this with the gospel, and points us to God’s impartiality.
