The Christian life, succinctly described by Paul as “unhypocritical love,” requires dying to self and living to Christ that is expressed in deep generosity, hospitality to strangers & outsiders, blessing of enemies rather than retaliation, and sympathy for the interests of others rather than self-focus. All of these things should be done because they reflect the way God has treated us; they manifest the character of Christ through us to those around us.
