09/15/2024 – Galatians Bible Study – Tim Brown – There are only two possible views of man’s nature: he is seen either as basically good or basically evil. The humanistic view is that he is born morally good, or at least morally neutral. The Bible, however, maintains the opposite, that man is inherently corrupt and depraved in every aspect of his being. The works of the flesh reflect the sinful desires of unredeemed humanness, which are in spiritual warfare against the desires of the Spirit (vv. 16–17; cf. 24). Paul says that the works of the flesh are evident- meaning that which can be plainly seen and known. These sins are not subtle!
