12/17/2023 – Galatians Bible Study – Kris Brackett – Paul continues to demonstrate the validity of his gospel message providing evidence that he came to understand this gospel independent of the influence of the Jerusalem church and without yielding to the false gospel of works righteousness. We continue to see how during the time of the events recorded in Galatians: the gospel was spreading from Jerusalem, to Judea, to Samaria, and beyond through the work of Peter, Paul, and other unnamed disciples, and how the issue of circumcision and other aspects of Jewish legal tradition became potential dividing points in the church and a threat to the spread of the gospel.
