Paul and Peter were unified in their creed while in Jerusalem, now they are in Antioch together and they are divided in their conduct.
Here’s what happened: Paul opposes Peter because he flip-flopped his attitudes and actions toward the Gentiles of Antioch when some Jewish hard-liners from Jerusalem showed up. Even Barnabas was carried away by the hypocrisy! Peter and Barnabas believed one thing and did another. This resulted in Paul boldly confronting Peter in the presence of everybody- Jews and Gentiles.
