In this study we take up Paul’s letter to the Galatians, a fiery defense of the gospel of grace written to churches tempted to add the works of the law to the finished work of Christ. Paul defends his apostolic calling, shows that sinners are justified by faith alone and not by works of the law, and declares that believers are sons and heirs of God through Christ. Across the letter he calls the church to stand firm in the freedom Christ has won and to walk by the Spirit in love.
